Melt in Microwave –
1 dessert spoon flaxen syrup
1 dessert spoon cold water
4oz margarine
Stir in 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
(It will become frothy)
Now add -
1 cup oats
1cup SR flour
3/4 cup sugar
Mix together dried and melted ingredients.
Roll into balls the size of a teaspoon.
Put onto a greased tray and squash balls.
Cook 125 degrees 10 – 15 minutes, until airy flaxen brown.
QUICK SMOOTHY RECIPY
You will need
2 x bananas
1 tablespoon of honey
2 cups of milk
1 x tablespoon of yoghurt
Method
Peel the bananas, break them up into pieces and place them in a big bowl
Take a fork and mash the banana so that it changes from lumpy to soft squidgy and creamy.
Add the babe and yoghurt, mix well with a fork until it’s all creamy
Place the milk into the bowl and whisk the amalgam with your fork until everything is mixed and pour into glasses.
MUSTARD AND LEMON CHICKEN
4 skinless chick breasts halved
1.5 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons of margarine
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
? teaspoon of tarragon
Method
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place chick in a shallow oven evidence dish
In a saucepan, melt the margarine, add the mustard, lemon juice, and tarragon. Stir well and pour over chicken.
Bake in the oven for 30-45 minutes or until cooked

Let me introduce to you one of my favourite recipes — Szechwan chicken — a abrasive flavoured dish. It is chicken stir-fried and buried in a dark soy-based sauce with auburn and hot peppers. Ingredients:
Chicken:
1 lb. pathetic chicken breast, cubed
4-6 carrots, sliced into 1/4″ pieces
1 can bamboo shoots
12-15 dried hot peppers
Olive oil
Sauce: (Thoroughly mix all ingredients before preparation)
6 tbsp. soy sauce + 3 tbsp. water (or 9 tbsp. of low-sodium soy sauce)
2-3 tbsp. cornstarch
Chopped fresh auburn or powdered dry auburn (to taste, usually 3 tbsp.)
3 tbsp. Sherry
Instructions:
1. Place the peppers and 1 tbsp. of cooking oil in a wok.
2. Brown the peppers under medium-high heat, then amputate them to a plate.
3. Place the cubed chicken in the wok and cook awaiting pink blush disappears (2-5 min).
4. Remove the chicken from the wok.
5. Add 1 tbsp. of oil to the wok, and add the carrots.
6. Stir-fry awaiting carrots begin to soften. (If you prefer soft vegetables, you can add several tablespoons of water to the carrots and poach them for 5 min.
7. Add the bamboo shoots and stir-fry 1-2 minutes.
8. Add the (browned) peppers, chicken, and the sauce to the wok.

Rice Krispies Treats
Serves 2 | Prep under 30 mins

INGREDIENTS
A quarter cup of butter
1x10oz bag of marshmallows
Half a teaspoon of vanilla extract
6 cups of Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal 
METHOD
1. Use gentle low heat to carefully melt the butter in a large pot that can hold more than the 6
cups of cereal. Add the marshmallows and stir everything on low heat until everything is melted,
then stir in the vanilla.
2. Finally, stir in the cereal until it is all well coated, then spread this mixture into a 13x9
inch baking pan. It helps to coat a rubber spatula with a little melted butter to help with the
spreading of the mixture into the pan. Let the mixture cool in the pan, cut into bars or squares and serve. 

Ayam Briyani


Ayam Briyani
Serves 10 | Prep under 30 mins

INGREDIENTS
1kg whole chicken, cut into 4 pieces
1 cup of ghee
Briyani spice paste
red onions, peeled
3 inches of old ginger, peeled
cloves garlic, peeled
1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
2 tablespoons of black pepper powder
1 and half teaspoons of salt
tomato, chopped
20g of coriander leaves
20g mint leaf
1 cup of water
cardamoms
star anise
1 inch cinnamon
cloves
6 tablespoons of biryani powder
50g of cashewnuts, fried and pounded
1 cup of evaporated milk
Salt and sugar to taste
shallots, sliced and fried 
METHOD
1. Wash chicken and set aside to drain.
2. Deep fry the chicken until medium cooked. Put aside.
3. Heat ghee or oil in a heavy-based pan over moderate heat.
4. Add cardamomstar anisecinnamon and cloves, stir for 2 minutes.
5. Then saute the spice paste and biryani paste until fragrant about 7 minutes.
6. Cook over low heat for 3 minutes till well blended.
7. Add chicken and salt, stir continuously. Cook over moderate heat for 10 minutes.
8. Add cashewnuts and milk and cook for about 5 minutes.
9. Season with salt and sugar.
10. Garnish with the fried onions


Egg Fried Rice
Serves 4 | Prep 25 mins

INGREDIENTS
1 mug long grain rice
1 cup frozen peas
2 tablespoons sunflower oil
small red pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
METHOD
1. Fill a roomy saucepan with water, bring to the boil and tip in 1 teaspoon of salt - the water will bubble furiously. Pour in the rice, stir once and return to the boil, then turn the heat down a little so that the water is boiling steadily, but not vigorously.
2. Boil uncovered, without stirring (this makes for sticky rice) for 10 minutes. After 8 minutes, throw in the frozen peas, boil for 2 minutes and drain (don't rinse).
3. Heat the sunflower oil in a wok and stir fry the bacon for 3-4 minutes until crisp. Tip in the red pepper and the garlic cloves and stir fry for 2 minutes.
4. Beat the eggs, pour into the pan and stir fry until the egg just sets. Toss in the Chinese 5-spice.
